JOIN ME AT THE PARTY: WowUsWednesday (Savvy Southern Style)
The project was adding a portico over the front door. A few years back we did away with the 40 year old cement stoop and replaced it with a beautiful brick stoop and walkway. Here are a few shots of the project:
When we moved in almost 10 years ago
this was one of our first projects on the list of things to do.
(hey, better late than never, right?)
The workers did a fantastic job
keeping the area clean and clear each night
(a must with 4 curious children running around)
This is how it looks from the driveway
We went with a beadboard ceiling
When I came home on day 2, I was so excited. It
was really starting to come together
It just looks like it belongs
I think the beadboard was a great choice.
It looks fantastic.
It fits the house perfectly
I didn't tell you that my beautiful storm door blew off
in a recent storm in our area. The workers were
able to salvage it and hang it again
I LOVE THAT DOOR
I opted to detail the structure with dental trim
I'm so glad I did. I just love it.
This is a close up of the beadboard and dental trim
It's really lovely
Not sure if you can see but we extended the dental trim
across the front of the house. It's perfect (I think)
and after. We couldn't be happier.
.
Tell me what you think? We are so happy with the outcome. It's always nice to start a project, finish it and be completely happy with it.
