Happy Birthday With a Status Check

This boy lights up my life
and he's REALLY cute too

Happy Birthday Sir T.  I am posting this entry at 8:16 am today for a reason.  At that EXACT time 10 years ago my life changed in a way that only a mother can feel.  I wrote this blurb back in August when I started this blog and I am re-posting it as a little tribute to my sweetness.

  • Sir T holds the coveted spot of first born and he takes this job very seriously.  Weighing in at 7 lbs 2 ounces, he entered this world with an aura of complete tranquility.   When I first saw him not a sound came from his mouth just a loving stare and a look that said “glad to be here”.  He has been the proverbial perfect son (in our eyes).  He’s really smart (but he's humble about it); he loves soccer (and he’s good at it); he loves to cuddle (works for me); and he loves spending time with his family (almost to a fault).  Our nickname for him is Old Soul.  He spends way too much time assessing situations instead of having fun; he worries about things that he shouldn’t worry about; and he loves the History and Military Channel.   He amazes me every day and the twinkle in his crystal blue eyes melts my heart.

I sat in a hospital bed for 31 days for you and let me tell you this -- IT WAS WELL WORTH IT.  You have been everything a mom and dad can ask for in life.  You are loving, smart, funny, healthy and SO cute.

Sir T -- I wish you all the best that life has to offer.

Love you always,

Mom

PS.  We did the traditional donuts and balloons for breakfast this morning and we are ALL looking forward to a special dinner and a little cake and "make your own" ice cream sundaes for dessert.  Sir T's big party is on Saturday.   BELIEVE ME, I count my blessings every day.  Remember to count your blessings and I will catch up with you later this week.  CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S BEEN A WHOLE DECADE.  WOW!!!!!
