Finally Friday Forum

I can't believe this week is winding down already.  Seems like we just got going.  The County just announced that schools are closing 2-hours early.  I think the official forecast is calling for about 1/2 inch.  This town really goes crazy when SNOW is in the forecast.

In other news, the ToddlerTown didn't have a very good start this morning.  Sir T asked if he could play his video games this morning before school and I, against my better judgment, said yes.  Well, we ended up missing the bus because he wouldn't turn it off when I yelled "let's go" for the 3rd time.  I ended up lecturing him the whole way to school and I feel awful about it.  We rarely argue but when we do, it just breaks my heart.  I have been having an off day here at the office that's for sure.  I can't wait to get home and just hug him.

For the weekend, we have a basketball game and a soccer game on Saturday for Sir T.  We have to play the first half of his soccer game and then leave to get to the second half of the basketball game.  Oh well -- you gotta do what you gotta do.

We actually have a 4-day weekend here at the ToddlerTown.  We don't have any major plans for the extra 2 days but Willy and I are desperately trying to come up with something to do.  I was hoping a quick trip to Richmond to visit my sister.  I miss her.

On a "ME" note, one of my VERY VERY best friends who I rarely see anymore (because we are two busy moms) has invited me out tonight to see a local cover band.  I politely said no BUT she didn't listen and is determined to pick me up at 6:30 tonight NO MATTER WHAT.  I really REALLY need a night out so I'm (secretly) excited.

That's about it.  Enjoy your weekend everyone.  LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH and always remember to count your blessings.  Until next time . . .

In today's time, lots of people enjoy online games. Anyone of any age can enjoy them at home or even in an arcade. To get the most out of your video gaming experience, read the suggestions in this article.

Be sure to verify a game's rating prior to letting kids play. Some games contain violent or inappropriate content that is not intended for anyone under 18. Do not let your children play these games or watch while you play. If a game is violent, it can have negative affects on sleep and behavior of young kids.

Some online game titles are geared towards education. Consider these educational titles for children, and avoid those with questionable content. Do some online research for game reviews from other parents. This is a way that you can find games not only appropriate for your children, but even fun and educational for them too!

Try gaming with your kids. This can be a great way to bond with any children in the household and it's fun, as well as safe. You will also have the opportunity to ensure the games your kids play are appropriate for your family.

Spend quality time with your children by taking on a gaming that you both enjoy. Many kids really enjoy playing games on their computers and video consoles. There is a lot to learn from playing computer games. You can find games that are educational to teach them as well as help them learn the skill of hand-eye coordination.

When playing side-scrolling 2D games, always check to the left to see if there are any hidden items or passageways. Don't overlook high ledges or walls that may have invisible entry points, either. Never feel silly when you check out strange areas of the game, you just might find something valuable.

If you are a enthusiast of playing computer games, you probably have your favorites. However, you should not narrow your choices. To make sure you do not get bored, try to vary the genres you play. You might have a more memorable experience in some genre that you previously avoided.

If you have children, ensure that you're limiting the amount of computer game play time your children have. Try not to let your kids play for over two hours every day since it can rearrange their priorities and strain their hands and eyes.

You should make sure you seek nourishment when playing your online games. Online Games can get someone away from reality, even to the point where they are forgetting to take care of their basic needs. When you are playing computer games, remember to drink a lot of water because dehydration can make you ill.

Buying a new game is tougher than you may think. You might waste a lot of money on a game you end up hating. Read game reviews before making a purchase.

Figure out how to operate the safety and parental controls of any gaming system that comes into your home. You can likely make adjustments that keep kids from viewing mature content. Some allow each gaming profile to be customized separately, allowing adults to enjoy games not meant for younger audiences.

There are many video games to explore, but if you want the best experience, you have to play the best games. This article provided you with much needed information. You may be amazed by the enjoyment you get from them.
