Status Check for a Monday Morning

Hi everyone!  I hope you are having a good start to the week.  Here at the ToddlerTown it's been quite a struggle to get back on track.  The kids are all "I don't want to go to school" and it doesn't help that mommy and daddy are all "I don't want to get up" BUT we did and we are moving along.  So it's working for the moment.

Sir T had a basketball game this weekend which went better than expected.  See he hasn't picked up a basketball in weeks.  Prince Willy was very worried how he was going to perform (I guess he expects more from his son because daddy is the assistant coach -- who knows).  Anyway, we didn't win and it was clearly evident that no one on the team had picked up a basketball in weeks.

After the game, Willy's parents came over to exchange gifts with the kids.  We did a really low key lunch (make your own sandwich fun) and then opened gifts.  The kids were so happy with the presents.  The grandparents did great this year.  Lady E got the knock off Uggs she'd been looking for and Sir T got the EXACT indoor soccer shoes he'd been eyeballin'.  All in all it was a beautiful get together.

We have sports camps, RE classes, basketball and soccer practices on our plate this week.  AND something really exciting.  Willy and I are meeting with an architect on Thursday to (hopefully) draw up our plans for the upstairs area.  Since we moved in 10 years ago, we have envisioned some major renovations to our upstairs.   Renovations that include making an existing hall bathroom part of the girl's bedroom, creating a new master bathroom suite for us (nothing elaborate but still nice) and updating another hall bathroom into the year 2013 (right now it looks like something from the 70s).  I'm really excited to see if our vision can actually happen.  I'll keep you posted.

That's about it for now.  Please hug harder and love more.  Count your blessings every chance you get and I'll catch up with you soon.
