UGH.  That's about all I can muster up.  I'M EXHAUSTED this morning.  What a weekend.  We packed in a ton of activities that's for sure.
We had a get-together Friday night with close friends from out of town.   It was supposed to be a pool party at the local pool but because of the weather it changed to a party at MY house.  Totally didn't expect that.  I was a CRAZY mess right before it started.  Mainly because when I throw a party, I need to have all my ducks in a row and everything perfect (might be why I don't throw parties very often).  Anyway, it was definitely a pulled-together-at-the-last-minute gig and you know what???  It turned out really nice.  I just ordered pizzas and thank God I had enough drinks on hand to accommodate everyone.  It was a nice evening.
We had a few soccer games on Saturday morning, had lunch with the kids at a local family owned restaurant afterwards and then headed to the Reston Zoo for an AWESOME late afternoon treat.  The place is a bit on the expensive side ($12.95 for adults and $9.95 for kids 3-12) but it did include a tractor ride where the animals came right up to you.  We bought a few cups of food for the kids to feed the animals and they LOVED that part.
Here are a few pictures from the trip:
Such a cute little zoo
Prairie Dogs -- kids loved these little guys
Your first glimpse of Lady E
She is a REAL pot-belly pig lover

She had a blast feeding the animals
So beautiful!!
I would definitely recommend the Reston Zoo.  It's a fun and quick trip if you are local.  Price is a little steep (roughly $60.00 to get in and there's a dreaded gift shop at the end) but I will say the kids absolutely loved it and it was a pleasant day all around.
Sunday was equally as busy.  We had a soccer game in Frederick, Maryland (we lost -- bummer),   hit an antique shop, a playground, lunch at a local mom and pop stop, the Leesburg airport and a sighting of the White's Ferry.
Sorry to bore you with all the details.  We definitely had a fun-filled weekend.  I hope your weekend was an adventure too.  Remember to count your blessings and I'll catch up with you soon.

PS  Got to work on Lady E's party favors this afternoon.  I love putting together party favors (REALLY).  Orientaltrading.com here I come!!!!
