Stromboli Rolls

This recipe always reminds me of the first time I went to Willy's parent's hometown in Pennsylvania.  As you can imagine, I was a bit nervous to meet the "FAMILY" but everyone was SO friendly and SO accepting that I just felt right at home.  We went door to door meeting just about everyone in this little town and of course with each stop came "food".  I must have gained 10 pounds that weekend.  One of my favorite dishes was Lee's Stromboli Rolls.  So simple to make and the kids love them.  I'm posting this recipe because I always substitute the pepperonis for leftover Easter ham.  BIG WINNER IN THIS HOUSE.  I hope you enjoy them.  Again nothing fancy just good.

STROMBOLI ROLLS
Recipe from Thattoddlertown.blogspot.com

1 loaf frozen bread dough - when thawed, cut in 1/2
1 teaspoon oregano
2 teaspoon parmesan cheese
1/2 lb mozzarella cheese sliced
1/2 lb pepperoni
2 eggs

Beat eggs, oregano and parmesan cheese in bowl.  Roll out 1/2 of bread dough on flour surface and brush with egg mixture.  Layer cheese and pepperoni.  Roll up and brush with egg mixture.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour.  Top with sauce if designed.
