As you know I got my new camera last week. It's a Sony Alpha SLTA33L DSLR with Translucent Mirror Technology and 3D Sweep Panorama (no clue what all that means). It's got SO many bells and whistles I'm not sure what I'm doing. I guess I'm just out of practice using a "real" camera. I've been using a $40.00 pocket camera for probably 5 or 6 years now so to have a real camera again is exciting for me.
Anyway, I've been walking around now for over a week with the camera around my neck acting like a professional photographer. The family is starting to get a tad cranky on all the picture taking. Here are a few pictures so far:
Blue is my favorite color
Again with the blue
Probably about 2 days too late for this picture
Need to work on my lighting but still a pretty shot
Again with the lighting. In person these are beautiful
Saw this the other day while sitting in the backyard - truly spectacular
Did NOT stumble across this in the backyard
This is from Frying Pan Park this past weekend
Again not in the backyard - too precious
Well, that's about it for now. I absolutely love my new camera and am looking forward to a long and happy relationship.
Until next time . . . remember to count your blessings.

I really need a new camera. Mine is a pretty basic point and shoot which is nice and convenient to just throw in my purse but I really need a REAL camera! Enjoy learning all the features of yours! Have a nice weekend!

I would love a real camera too. I'm not sure I'd ever take the time to read the manual and figure out how to make it work! Love your images!
